While a Redevelopment Area covering the new development known as Bayfront has been established, there is a need to amend the existing plan to incorporate sustainability elements and update it to conform to the current vision of the site. BRS is currently working with JCRA and the City of Jersey City on the development of sustainable design guidelines for the Bayfront I Redevelopment Area.

BRS, Inc. worked with EPA’s Office of Community Revitalization using the Regional Resilience Toolkit through the Building Blocks Program in four projects to help multiple jurisdictions come together to identify shared natural disaster risks and a common action plan for the region.

BRS, Inc. worked with the City of Orem, Utah to develop a plan for the assessment, remediation and revitalization of brownfield sites in the Geneva Road industrial corridor.

Since 2009, BRS has supported the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency with the Dwight
and Ocean redevelopment project.

Abandoned for over 30 decades, BRS was instrumental in procuring the remediation funding needed for this small, high-impact site within the City of Camden’s most income diverse residential neighborhood.

BRS, Inc. is working on a resiliency project at the New Jersey coast line that includes/included living shorelines to reinforce eroded locations and wetlands restoration.

BRS prepared the successful application for one of only 14 Housing and Urban Development (HUD)/Department of Transportation (DOT) combination planning grants awarded in 2010. JCRA was awarded over $2.2 million for planning efforts for the 111-acre Canal Crossing Redevelopment Area.

The Assunpink Greenway is an expansive, 99-acre linear park project adjacent to the Assunpink Creek, running through an impoverished section of the City of Trenton, NJ.

BRS served as the prime contractor for developing and carrying out the Pre-Nomination study for the town of Fort Edward.

BRS Inc., is working with the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation (SoBRO) community and other stakeholders to develop an area-wide plan and implementation strategy for the Bronx River-Sheridan Expressway Corridor.
